Initiative and Scope
Championed by PepsiCo and unveiled during COP27, the Arab Youth Hackathon stands as a regional initiative striving to engage young visionaries in the quest for sustainable solutions. The initiative spans a series of three-day hackathons spanning various countries within the region. This visionary endeavor will unfold through separate national hackathons in Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, and KSA.

Unite and Innovate
To partake in this hackathon, assemble a team of 2-3 individuals, including at least one member aged 21 or older. All team members should fall within the age range of 18 to 35. Come together with like-minded enthusiasts and create a diverse team with complementary skills. It’s imperative that all participants are either nationals or residents of the country in which they’re applying.

Participant Selection
During the second week of September, participants will receive email notifications about their application outcomes. Successful entrants will be formally invited to partake in the hackathon event.
Prizes to Propel Transformation
The Arab Youth Hackathon offers an array of prizes to foster transformation and innovation:
First Prize: $30,000 Grant + One-month online incubation by Plug and Play
Second Prize: $20,000 Grant + One-month online incubation by Plug and Play
Third Prize: $10,000 Grant + One-month online incubation by Plug and Play
Pivotal Milestones
- Hackathon: Teams will labor intensively for three days to nurture their business concepts. Mentors and sustainability experts will provide invaluable guidance throughout the process.
- Award Ceremony: The victors will be celebrated during the award ceremony. Exceptional teams will secure sponsorship to participate in the final event in Dubai.
- Final Hackathon: The culminating stage witnesses winning teams from each locale competing for top honors. Teams will present their solutions to an esteemed panel of experts.
